Spring Break in Petite Jean

So, this post is a little late, but hey, what's the old saying? "Better late than never!" During spring break, my husband and I traveled to Arkansas to Petite Jean Mountain. We had an amazing time, and the sites were gorgeous! We did a great deal of sight-seeing and hiking over a period of three days! We have really come to love hiking, and I know this will not be our last trip like this! Check out some of our pictures!

Coates's Crew's Favorite Websites

As a teacher of gifted students, we oftentimes use the Internet as a way to challenge our bright students! My students and I have complied a list of some of the websites that we often use in our classroom. Check out the list, and please feel free to recommend others to us! We are always looking for new challenges!

A Little Bit About Me!

Hello, friends! My name is Tammy Coates, and I am currently the Gifted teacher at Choudrant Elementary School and I. A. Lewis in Ruston, Louisiana. I have been an educator for 27 years now...WOW! I can't believe it has been so long! Does that mean I'm getting old??? Hmm...anyways, I absolutely love what I do, and I have been teaching gifted classes for 11 years. Everyday brings something new, and I enjoy going to see my students each and every day. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Scott and my two daughters, Katey and Kennedy. I also enjoy working out, shopping, and spending time with friends. I'm so glad you decided to stop by and visit my blog! The purpose of this blog will be to just try to let you see some of the work we have been doing in our classroom, and I will also try to keep you up-to-date on the exciting events going on in my life!
